Karina,

Thank you for your comment. Some have theorized that people wake during the two hour periods corresponding to certain organs. For instance, people who wake habitually between 11pm and 1am may either have a problem in the GB system, or the system across the organ clock - the HT. I have never heard a particular robust account of this theory, and most practitioners I know use it as a relatively minor piece of diagnostic information among the larger amount of information provided by the pulse, tongue and the rest of the history taking.

In general - the organ time correspondences are as such:

Heart: 11-1pm
Small Intestine: 1-3pm
Bladder: 3-5pm
Kidney: 5-7pm
Pericardium: 7-9pm
Triple Burner/Heater: 9-11pm
Gall Bladder: 11-1am
Liver: 1-3am
Lung: 3-5am
Large Intestine: 5-7am
Stomach: 7-9am
Spleen: 9-11am
... back to Heart

I hope this helps.

I had heard that times you spontaneously wake at night can relate to a posible issue with various organs, depending on the time your waking. Is there anywhere you can point me to to explore this further in order to pinpoint and treat the body???
