Bex,

What an interesting way to look at financial flow. I might have to explore that one in my own life and see if it bears fruit. Thanks for sharing and it's nice to see you commenting on the site!

Hi Bex,

The tie up between money and love as children is very thought provoking. I hope you have the time to say more about this - I feels to me like it is of very great importance.

Hey Eric...
Matt and I were just having a similar discussion at lunch today. It seems like so many people who go into the healing profession are givers and they have a really hard time figuring out how to let money flow into their life. My aunt is seeing a financial counselor right now who used to be a child psychologist and this counselor is relating the way that we act to money to the way we learned to act towards love as children, in terms of taking it and giving it out. I can see a lot of parallels with that in my own life.
I'm glad that you posted about this, because it's so important and I wish I had more time to write about this...

Evan,

I think that's absolutely right - learn from those who have gone before. Business classes and other business mentoring relationships can be so very helpful that way.

I think your idea of focusing on value is a great one. It's an elusive concept and one that needs to be thought about a great deal, but it's a worthy goal.

Thanks as always for your comments.

Thanks Eric.

My struggle at the moment is to understand about money generation (my lifestyle means I haven't ever been employed much so I now need to make some money - I'm 48). And how to make this sustainable.

So far my conclusion is: focus on value.

The connection with healing (apart from that we are social-individuals and not just individual-individuals): finding out how things work, initiative, clarity of intent, learning from experience.

I expect to learn lots more. At the moment I am enrolled in a course that is teaching me about one way of making money - blogging. So far it has been pretty useful. So I guess this is another connection with healing: learn from those who have gone before.
